We now know the identity of another driver killed this season as a result of icy road conditions. Ebony Star Alvey, Petersburg, IN, was killed on January 6, 2009 while driving along SR 57 just north of Oakland City, IN. According to the Gibson County Sheriff's Department, the 20 year old lost control of her white Pontiac Firebird on a railroad overpass causing her to slide into the path of an oncoming coal truck. The driver of the truck was able to slow down but was not able to avoid hitting Alvey. The impact caused the victim's car to burst into flames. Wintry weather contributed to the accident.
Anyone injured in a motor vehicle accident should consider retaining the services of an experienced car accident injury attorney.
